Jamaica Carnival (Bacchanal Jamaica) is high-energy, fete-heavy and set against the backdrop of one of the most culturally rich islands in the world. The road march is excellent, but the fetes — particularly the beach parties — are what most people come back for.

When to Book
Mas band registration for Jamaica Carnival typically opens October–December the year before. Flights from the UK to Kingston are best booked 3–4 months in advance. Top fete tickets (especially beach events) go on sale from January and sell out well ahead of the April dates — buy as soon as you have booked flights. Stay in New Kingston for the easiest access to events.
