Barbados Crop Over runs 31 July – 4 August 2026, building to two unmissable nights: Foreday Morning on 2 August (early hours) where you get covered in paint, powder and mud alongside thousands of revellers, then Grand Kadooment Parade on 3 August — the costume parade through the streets of Bridgetown. The festival spans weeks of fetes, boat rides, all-inclusives and live soca performances. Stay near St. Lawrence Gap for the easiest access to events. Register for your mas band costume 2–3 months early as popular bands sell out fast. Backline costumes start around £320+, frontline from £480+. Taxis are widely available and many locals offer personal driver services for the week.

Barbados Crop Over is a bicentennial tradition celebrating the end of sugar cane harvest — and the smoothest entry point into Caribbean carnival. Gorgeous sequined costumes adorned with feathers, jewels and bright embellishments parade down Spring Garden Highway on Grand Kadooment Day, the island's most exciting day of the year. Smaller scale than Trinidad, beautifully organised, and the beach is there waiting for you afterwards.

Crop Over 2026 runs July 3 – August 4, with Grand Kadooment on the closing day. Mas band registration typically opens January–February — significantly more relaxed than Trinidad. Flights are best booked 3–5 months in advance. The major fetes (Cohobblopot, Pic-O-De-Crop finals) sell tickets from around May. Accommodation in the peak areas (St Lawrence Gap, west coast) fills up fast for Kadooment weekend — book at least 4 months ahead.
